The view was incredible. Fantastic place to visit, private beach, great restaurant and food and service, and SPA included. Staff were very polite and friendly, but the room was basic with no air conditioning, but leaving the window partly open in the night, we were very comfortable! There was also no TV, in the room, but we didn’t care, we listened to a great movie on my iPad from Netflix in bed. We understand that the old rustic part of the Hotel is what makes its charm.

This forest nature hotel is a magical place and was the highlight of our Quebec trip experience. Rustic, tasteful and imaginative in its wooden architecture and massive logs, it boasts a fantastic location right on a beautiful lake. If you want to breathe the fresh air, feel the nip of the approaching winter, and see a northern forest in its full fall foliage magnificence, this is the place to go. The spa is fantastic and luxurious. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly. Not many kids, but it is great for kids ages 8+. Many groups from France and Germany stop by, so the hotel can get busy. The beavers and bears observation trip is more recommended in summer, as the animals are more active (by mid fall they may already be in their dens - we didn't see beavers or bears unfortunately). I disagree with other reviews that criticize the food or the lack of TV. Why would one want a TV in a place like this? There is fast and free internet. But seriously, get off your devices, unplug and see this place. Warmly recommended for a special getaway.

Overall a place I would return too. We went with a group for a company paid stay so i dont know much about cost vs quality. The view is breathtaking, the rooms cozy and the activities offered there very entertaining. Mississipi table, pool, one arcade, foosball inside the hotel. Theirs also dog sledding for additionnal cost. The reason its not 5 stars is because of little things. Water in the outside spa is not hot enough, the bartender on our secong night was rude and not at all ready to serve 4 people at a time. There's a ive rink outside with skates free to borrow but it cost 250$ just to have a fire, which makes no sense because then we would pay and have others not pay for the same fire? Weird. But overall very nice and i would still comeback in summer or autumn.

Amazing resort overall. The activities were incredibly fun, the food was outstanding, and the service was truly excellent. My only issue was with the rooms...the bathroom wasn’t very clean, there’s little to no soundproofing (you can hear conversations and noise from nearby rooms), and they could definitely use some updating. That said, I would absolutely return for the exceptional food and service alone.

The view was incredible. Staff were all very polite and friendly. Room was basic but the main issue was no air con! It was a boiling hot night, window open, our room was above the hotel entrance and work was being done early so between late check ins and early workmen on top of far too hot, there wasn’t much sleep for our family.

A wonderful last minute getaway in the woods! What a wonderful facility, We arrived early and even had access to our room to begin a great hike in the wood. Fresh air and even got to see a Dog sledding team. Dinner in resto was super great service and view! buffet breakfast in the morning sun provided amazing photo op! Thanks to the team. We would consider larger room for a weekend Great job to all. we will be back
